Dear Tag Exchange Author,
Firstly, I would like to say thank you for the time and effort that you are willing to put into making my gift :) I’m very excited for this fest and I hope you find this letter to be at least somewhat helpful/inspiring. I’ve included my general likes and dislikes as well as specific preferences and prompts for each fandom I’ve requested.
-I’m good with het, fem and slash for background/secondary ships.
-All ratings up to R.
-A focus on the romantic/emotional aspect of a relationship and some semblance of a plot/point rather than just sex.
-Unrequited (or secretly requited) pining.
-Complicated relationship dynamics, love triangles, relationships that take some effort/time to work, loving each other but because [insert reasons here] not always being able to be together/communicate those feelings, etc in this vain.
-UST. Eventually resolved is probably better than not, however, not a must-have.
-Conversely from the above – romantic partners who just can’t help but adore each other.
-Threesomes/moresomes and polyamory.
-Incest (unless specifically asked for or canon).
-Parings with large age disparity (over 15 years) unless specifically asked for.
-Pedophilia (please keep minors in sexual relationships with adults 16 and over; if both partners are teens 14-15 is ok if treated appropriately).
-NC-17 and PWPs
-BDSM, omegaverse, and most kink. (NOT included in this: foreplay; bantery/lighthearted roleplay for the purposes of foreplay; preferences for a certain sexual position, fascination with a partner’s physical trait, such as, e.g., preferring redheads or virgins or younger partners or being fascinated by someone’s shoulders; rough/aggressive/desperate sex or outside-of-bedroom inequalities that transfer into the bedroom, even though there may be pining down of wrists or some other element that could be considered a kink or part of BDSM.)
-Foot fetishes (I know I said liking specific body parts is fine, but ah, feet are the exception).
-Humiliation (both sexual and not)
-Non-con/rape (dub-con that leans toward/ends up as consensual is ok).
-Mpreg; cross-dressing; genderbending/genderswap.
Genres/Themes (and such):
-Angst, drama. (Generally, I’m ok with dark!fic too, but please don’t try to use this as a challenge to see how many angst/dark tropes you can fit into a single fic. I enjoy dark themes and things like character death don’t bother me, but if it feels like it’s just a marathon of horrible things happening with no light anywhere to be seen…that might be a little too intense for me.)
-Humor is fun too, but I like it more as an element in the story rather than a story that sets out to be funny first and foremost.
-Hurt/comfort (primarily for m/m).
-LOYALTY KINK! Themes of loyalty in general.
-Fluff, banter, cuddling/snuggling, kissing, general adorableness (and adoration!).
-Well-rounded characters, characters with emotions/sympathetic motives; the “other side of the story”.
-Radical AUs that subvert the universe (eg: genderswaping the cast, setting a modern fandom as a fairytale, turning a historical fandom all Sifi, etc. This includes stuff like A/B/O and inserting magic/supernatural elements into a non-magic/supernatural universe).
-Character bashing; intentional OOCness.
-Humiliation; any sort of glorification of bullying, or bullying being excused/condoned in the narrative (this includes things like victim blaming, etc).
-Narrative implications that “sex = love” or that romantic partners HAVE to have sex to have a “valid” relationship or to be “really” in love with each other.

Requests: Remus Lupin/Evan Rosier, Severus Snape/Evan Rosier, Wilkes/Mulciber, Regulus Black/Barty Crouch Jr., Remus Lupin/Benjy Fenwick
I chose these ships because they all share some common theses which I enjoy. Aside from Remus/Evan these are ships where both halves are young men fighting on the same side of a prolonged and grueling civil war It’s a lovely playground to explore themes of loyalty, friendship, loss, and other things that are tied to wartime romances. I also just adore First War era fics/settings <3
War & Loyalty – What is it like being love with someone/having a relationship in wartime? What if that person is NOT on the same side of the war as you? How does loyalty to your friend/lover interfere (or not) with loyalty to your Cause? What are the sacrifices that have to made for this relationship to work or in the name of the Cause fought for? Does the constant fear bring them closer together or cause problems?
Hurt/Comfort & Emotional Hurt/Comfort – I just love mush and flangst and cuddles. One partner gets wounded during battle and the other takes care of him. Or maybe one of them has a harder time dealing emotionally with the constant violence and loss and fear. Or maybe they comfort each other, perhaps over the death of a mutual friend.
Break his heart to save him – I love those scenarios in which one half of the ship has to make a decision in which, in order to save the other person, they must break their heart by doing/revealing/hiding/making them believe something.
Self-Sacrifice – Any scenario where one partner decides to sacrifice himself for the other. Maybe he is being interrogated and decides to fight to the death as to not betray the location/identity of his lover. Or he stays behind to fight losing battle so the other has a chance to get away.
Canonical Character Death – In all of these ships, one-half of the ship dies in canon. I would be interested in seeing how the other half of the ship copes with/reacts to this loss.
The Musketeers (2014)
Requests: Louis XIII of France/Armand Jean du Plessis de Richelieu
I know, I know, there are all those other slash ships in this fandom without a weird age difference and potentially disturbing power dynamic to ship. But how are these two not perfect in a messed up, UST-y, neither-would-call-it-what-it-is way? I mean. Who does Louis go running to when he needs help? When he’s desperate? Who does he trust almost implicitly? And who does Richelieu always protect? France, sure, but think of it this way: he’s happy enough to get rid of Anne when she seems to pose a potential “danger” to France. But he won’t support a coup against Louis (not to mention orchestrate one) even though, honestly, Louis is not exactly…very mature? I mean, I have little faith in his competence, even if I do want to protect his adorable, childish ass from the world.
Break his heart to save him – I love those scenarios in which one half of the ship has to make a decision in which, in order to save the other person, they must break their heart by doing/revealing/hiding/making them believe something. I would love to see this played out with this ship since Louis and Richelieu already have a manipulative/messed up dynamic and Louis is oblivious enough that Richelieu could/would totally pull off a “for your own good” type of stunt.
Canonical Character Death – Louis dealing with losing his most trusted counselor and someone he had UST/feelings (whether fully acknowledged or not) for. Richelieu’s death was so sudden. There really ought to be some more closure here.
Loyalty – I really like themes of loyalty. Richelieu sometimes seems more loyal to Louis than you would expect if his loyalty was exclusively to just France. Some sort of exploration or manifestation of that would be cool.
Requests: Sherlock Holmes & Mycroft Holmes
Realizing You Care – I love the stories in which Sherlock is convinced that Mycroft is mostly a nuisance/loses sight of how much he actually cares about his brother and then something happens (Mycroft is hurt/in danger) and suddenly Sherlock realizes that he’s just being difficult and of course he cares. This could end with a sweet moment between them or Sherlock could be difficult as all hell and not actually say anything after all/pretend the realization never happened. It’s the realization/remembering that is important.
Taking Out Bad Guys – I would just love something where Mycroft and Sherlock team up to take down bad guys. Even better if they’re working together on dismantling Moriarty’s network.
Kid Fic & Family Fluff – I love stories about the Holmes brothers as kids. Sibling bickering or forgotten tender moments. Mycroft protecting Sherlock from bullies or Sherlock pestering Mycroft to teach him stuff. Anything that’s happy and/or sappy is good by me.
Captive Prince - C. S. Pacat
Loyalty – I love really anything with themes of loyalty. I love how loyal Jord is/stays to Aimeric in canon even after he is revealed to be a spy. Also, I’d enjoy an exploration of how different loyalties clash and interfere with each other: Aimeric and Jord’s loyalty to each other vs. Aimeric’s loyalty to the Regent and his family vs. Jord’s loyalty to Laurent.
Canonical Character Death – I felt like there wasn’t much closure for this ship after Aimeric’s death, which is probably the outcome of the books being from Damen’s POV. So I’d love some closure here, something with Jord dealing with losing someone he had fallen in love with, the pain of never getting to say goodbye, of not getting a chance to set the record straight with Aimeric, etc.
Fix-It – I want them together! I want them happy! I don’t know how…Maybe they run away. Maybe Aimeric decides last minute to not go through with the spy thing. If you can make them be together and happy somehow, please do!
Hurt/Comfort & Emotional Hurt/Comfort – This happens to be a favorite trope/genre of mine so do anything with it that you want. It can be via an AU setting (eg: Aimeric ditches the spy idea) to allow for more scenarios or something within canon. For example, I have this headcanon that Aimeric has increasingly nasty nightmares the closer they get to the border of Aikelos and the more he falls for Jord while staying resolute to fulfill his mission.
